clearing question

I called a university early in the morning about a course through clearing, how long before they get back to me with the offer, I gave all my details and they made verbal offer, they also gave me a reference code, so does that mean I have secured a place?

Hey @metricmetric 👋

Congratulations! If they have given you a verbal offer, you have got a place at the university. You will just need to update this on UCAS.

If you have any doubts and they told you that you'd have an email confirming, you could always ring up the university to double check by providing your name and reference number.

Hello 👋

First off congratulations on getting an offer! I hope you have a great university experience 🙌

I would agree with @WrexhamUniReps advice, for peace of mind there's no harm in ringing up to double check with your reference code and ask for email confirmation if you were waiting for it, and next steps in terms of UCAS - but I'm sure the university will be happy to provide any other information for you!

Hi there,

Congratulations! 🥳

If they made you a verbal offer, you have got a place at the university. If you want to accept it, you will need to update this on UCAS by adding a clearing choice to your application.

If you are unsure, it wouldn't hurt to double check and call them back with the details mentioned above by other Reps. They should also be able to talk you through how to update your application on UCAS to accept the offer, and will be able to answer any other questions you have.

I hope this helps,
