University Offer Conditions

Hey

I was offered a conditional course at the university of my choice for therapeutic radiography.

I did not receive the grades I was needing to get into the course however on UCAS it says I've been accepted and occupational health from the local area (For the uni) have been in touch and confirmed that I'm fit to do the course.

When offered the place I was meant to send in my SQA certificates and life just got in the way with family and forgot. If I was to send them in now after not receiving the grades I want can the university take away the place from me?

I'm really stressed about this and just thought that the university would accept the grades from UCAS

If UCAS is showing that you have an unconditional firm place, then you have nothing to worry about. Your uni will be aware of your recent SQA grades from UCAS. Have you received certificates already from SQA or is the uni requesting them for SQA qualifications you have taken earlier?

So on my original offer email it asked for the certificates but then I had some major issues within the family and I just forgot to send it in because it wasn't as important as my family was at that point.

The universities website says this
" If you are taking Scottish Highers, A levels, or ILC exams then the results are sent automatically to UCAS who pass these to us so that we may confirm your offer conditions. For all other examinations, e.g., HNC, HND, BTEC, IELTS, Access courses or Degree courses, you need to scan and email, or post the results to us as soon as possible.
Once your conditions are met, your offer will update from ‘conditional’ to ‘unconditional’ on UCAS track and we will also contact you."

However the offer email says this

"To verify that the qualifications stated on your application form were accurate, if you choose to accept this offer, please send copies of the qualifications to us. The certificates must be final and official versions, where the information can be checked and verified. For example, we can accept an SQA summary of attainment but not a printed version of online results from your school or college"

So I'm not exactly sure what's happening and if I still need to send them in or which version I need to send in
What does it say on your UCAS hub - it is conditional or unconditional?

It was a conditional offer however all my ucas hub now says is
"[UNIVERSITY] has confirmed your place to study Therapeutic Radiography Congratulations!
You'll soon hear from [UNIVERSITY], Edinburgh with some next steps, make sure you check the details carefully.

Then they have received your SQA results from UCAS and you place is confirmed. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Thank you. Other courses started to hear from them and I started worrying because I suddenly remembered that I hadn't submitted my certificates and was worried that it could affect my place

If you are still concerned, give them a call tomorrow (today will be busy handling clearing calls) and ask if they still require anything from you. Great choice of course and a worthy career.
