Any clearing success for any maths courses at KCL today?? I've been trying and finally got through the call, but then the guy I was speaking to transferred my call to the wrong people 😔

Call them back, it's worth the time :yep:

I'm here, I can (try to) help if things aren't working :colondollar:
Maths is still listed on their websites
And is still listed for KCL in UCAS Search

While you're on hold to them, try contacting them on twitter, instagram, whatever they have!

yes i called them almost instantly after seeing my grades and got a verbal offer at around 10am and got accepted last night almost 12 hours later. i was also in the waiting line for almost 2 hours as the queue was extremely long but it was worth it.

ppe first year undergrad here; make sure that you call them first thing in the morning. get your results emailed to you or be the first one to get into school, and call, so that you will be first in the queue. it is really literally a game of first-come-first served. it depends; are you a current offer holder worried you might miss your offer or someone who does not currently hold an offer but wants to get in through clearing? if you are the former, then don't worry; this year more people will be able to enter their first choice of university (funding crisis) - if you are the latter, then make sure you have gotten the minimum grades for the course in clearing that you want to get at hand when you call.

For KCL you'll need to be early, 8am onwards lines should be open with most universities. Definitely have a back up plan. :yy:

hey hope you're well, I am looking to change courses tomorrow to ppe(I'm already a king's offer holder), did you do something similar and do you have any advice on how to do it.

hi there i am thank you i hope you are too; ahh about changing courses - wait what course is it that you currently have btw if you don't mind me asking? it's just that ppe and some other courses are quite competitive and so it's quite hard to change to the course because it really depends on availability; i don't believe it is currently listed on the clearing webpage either. with changes to courses once you've got the grades it really comes down to if there is enough space; for courses like ppe they tend to take on people who have also narrowly missed their offers as well, like in my case though i had mitigating circumstances. but i would not lose hope because i would still say that it may be possible as with all years things might be different for real. what i can do for you is link you to a thread ( https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7253261) but you may have already seen this before tho, but it's of someone who wanted to change at king's who ended up being able to - their name was fiastudies and in all of their messages on the 1st 2nd and 3rd page i believe they go through all of the steps that they took to be able to do so essentially. unfortunately though i don't really have much else to offer you in this as i don't have experience in course switching all too much but i hope it can help even if it's just a bit

thank you... it does help - I currently have politics but want to change to ppe (this I know is quite competitive) or political economy (I'm hoping this works tomorrow)

I've also heard some conflicting anecdotes where some say it's better or possible to change course once at King's, but I don't know

You can only ask, the university can say no and if they don't have space then they don't have space. Let us know how it goes tomorrow, will be thinking of you :hugs:
