How is it to live in lancastee

It's a small city and the campus is a bus ride from the centre. There a plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from and you are not from the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales if you want trips out at the weekend. Student accommodation is plentiful and relatively cheap - a lot cheaper than many other cities. LU campus is very nice with lots of green space and facilities.

Hello @surlata92

Lancaster is a mix of a city and rural setting. The city can be quite bubly and you can just about have access to any amenites you want in the city, however I would not put it on the same pedestal as a London, Manchester, Leeds, etc.
The University is much quiter with multiple green spaces which enhance the scenery of the university. The university has provisions for shops, dining, laundry, gym/sports center etc therefore you do not really have to go into town that often. When you do desire to go into town, there is the underpass underneath the Alexandra square, where you can get busses which only take about 15 minutes to town.

Whilst you can have access to just about anything or any service you need in Lancaster, we are also not far away from a major city like Manchester where you can catch a short train ride to access any service that may not be available to you in Lancaster.
The lake district and Morecambe (Beach) are only a short distance from Lancaster if you desire the oposite of a city and just want to relax in nature.

I hope you find this response helpful, and if there is anything in particualr you would like to know about residing in Lancaster, please feel free to ask.
