i hate when people make this argument. like the person's 17/18? their decisions now do not reflect their lifelong academic ability.
I get that but to be a doctor you have to work hard and pass many many much harder exams. That’s why the a level entry requirements are there, to ensure that you’re actually capable of doing well in medschool, which is much harder than a levels

yeah but they'll be a doctor in at quickest 6 years so a levels cannot be a reflection of how hard they can work as a doctor

But may be a reflection of how well they can do when working hard now. Only OP can know if they worked their socks off and still did not make AAA, or cruised through and can do much better if they apply themselves. Only they can know whether they would also be capable of maintaining that level of working through about 10yrs of study to be a Dr

Do you think you could realistically cope with the academic pressures/challenges of a medicine degree/career if you cannot meet the requirements for any of the medschools? Something to think about

I think this argument is very one minded. As there are other values involved with being a doctor than just academic achievements. Such as determination, resilience and empathy. Yes, going into a foundation gateaway programme is not the standard route. However, though out my journey I have learnt how to encounter challenges and to not give up. As well as, as a medical student it is not going to be difficult, but I’ve faced these challenges and will know how to reflect to improve.

Hi I would like to know after completing foundation year, will u be appearing for any test or assessment to proceed for the MBBS pathway ?Like minimum marks required to get promoted to MBBS ?

Hi there, from the guidance I could find online. You need to complete 120 credits and have an overall mean score of 60% across the modules. I hope that helps

I got BCC, can i get into medicine? Any unies that will take BCC like foundation year course. I got C in both chem and bio

In the nicest way possible, no uni will accept BCC even from an incredibly disadvantaged student. You’ll need to resit or reconsider as medicine is far too ambitious a course for someone scoring so low in the two subjects that literally make up a medicine degree

Hi there, I was in your exact position last year and missed my offer too. I decided to resit the two C's and apply for medicine foundation courses alongside the UCAT. This year, I've managed to get in, its definitely possible but it can be a challenging experience.

Congratulations! I’m in this same predicament this year and was wondering what universities you considered when reapplying for medicine

Don’t you have to contextual to get onto a Foundation year? I missed my offer too but I’m not contextual so just wanted to check.

No neccessarily, graduate entry medicine is still an option as well as resitting for foundation medicine courses

To be honest, the eligibility criteria varies uni to uni. I know with Bristol their criteria is less extensive as your college/sixth form has to be on a list to be considered.
