The Student Room Group

student finance

I just got my results today and I am going to my insurance uni which is Leeds but the uni that I used to apply for my student finance in May was Edinburgh

I searched online and apparently if you have already applied and been approved for student finance - which I had been when I was originally going to go to Edinburgh - that you can just change your uni and course via your online account. I ended up doing this and it confirmed everything and it shows on my accounts homepage that it is being processed but I was wondering if it would take six weeks if I have already provided relevant infomation before and I didn't need to change my parents household income?

Additionally, I saw that you had to complete an actual form if you wanted to do this so should I complete this as well or just leave it at the changes that I made via my online student finance account?

You don't need to complete a form - the online change was the correct procedure. Last year, my daughter's change was confirmed very quickly (within a week I think).

I think that's normal.
Hi sh3ntie,

If you made the changes on your account, it will change the status automatically. The timescales are approximately 28 working days with subject to change depending on our current volumes, therefore it would be best to allow time while monitoring your account around that timeframe.
