Reapplying with 3A*B

How would unis treat 3A*B achieved vs 3A* achieved vs predicted 4A* differently (specifically Cambridge, UCL, Warwick) (all the entry requirements would be 2A*A so above them)

If you meet the entry requirements its worth applying.
Trying to work out 'X vs Y' and chances of an offer is a bit pointless.

I'm mainly just wondering if unis would look down on the B or treat it as neutral

As an extra A level where that subject isnt required?
They will just ignore it.

No-one negatively marks. If your top 3 grades match the requirements they are what is considered. So they are all the same, except two are achieved and one predicted. But all those unis consider other facts beyond achieved v predicted - if they didn't everyone would have realised by now that you just take a gap year to get in.

The one thing I'm worried about is I've seen Cambridge give out 4 a level offers where they just ask for an A in 4th a level, but since I'm applying with achieved grades I've technically missed this requirement if that makes sense.

No, it doesn't make sense. You already have the grades, you will get an unconditional offer or no offer. Giving out a 4 A level offer is for an entirely different set of circumstances.

It really depends on which subject you got that B in

What are the circumstances under which they give a 4 a level offer. I'm just asking cos it seemed random between my friends who got offers

Very specific to the individual applicant and the course - but those that seem to be cruising to make sure they work hard, people with subjects with a large overlap, a mother-tongue A level etc.
