Taly North Accom

Hi! Just been allocated my room which is in Taly North (not my first choice) just wondering if the rooms are as small as they look or if the pic doesn't do them justice??
I suffer from major homesickness and am a bit worried about the social aspect also, so is it on the whiter or more social side? Just need to know where to stand and how to feel lol

I'm in the same boat, I had put all my hopes on somewhere else and have been put in Taly North so am now worrying about the size of the room etc. hopefully, they're bigger than they look online.
You might be able to try the Taly North Facebook page to try and find out more though.

Hi there,
Congratulations on your offer and receiving your accommodation! I didn't live in Taly North but it was my first option and it's definitely a great hall to be social in.
Homesickness is definitely a common concern when first coming to university - You can read my top tips for managing homesickness here. If you're worried about making friends (another totally justified and normal concern), it can take time to find your people. Just be kind to yourself and take things slow. I had Taly Court as my first choice and ended up in a medium Taly North room which I put down as my second choice. Some what regretting that decision now though lol, because the room looks quite small online. Hopefully it'll be cosy though rather than cramped

Hiya! I was in Talybont North and had a medium room as well! I would describe it as quite cosy rather than cramped 🙂 There's enough room for everything since there's quite a bit of storage room, but still quite cosy - which I found that I liked, since it made my room easier to tidy up!

Hiya! I was in Talybont North and had a medium room as well! I would describe it as quite cosy rather than cramped 🙂 There's enough room for everything since there's quite a bit of storage room, but still quite cosy - which I found that I liked, since it made my room easier to tidy up!
