If you used Clearing in 2024, how did you find it?

I messed up my clearing. PLEASE HELP

So basically I got rejected from my firm but got into my insurance which I didn’t want to go to. I’m currently abroad and can’t take international calls so I got someone from the UK to end up calling nottingham university and they gave me a provisional offer for pharmacy.

However I was requested to decline my insurance choice and put nottingham university pharmacy as my clearing choice. I did that and thought that was it, however I ended up checking UCAS again and saw that I put 2025 instead of 2024. I tried calling UCAS but it didn’t work since I’m abroad currently and not in the UK. I also called nottingham but my credit ran out and the call broke mid conversation. I emailed them and they still haven’t replied.

I’m panicking and I don’t know what to do. Any help would be so appreciated. All I want is to get into Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham and I didnt know I was so stupid to mess it up even after not getting into my firm.

I mean I can try calling up Nottingham for you and seeing if they can help you out but rn its best you try to reach out to UCAS or Nottingham by email. Definitely top up your credit tomorrow and call them up urself, maybe get that other person to help you?

Hi op, I was in a very similar position to you quite literally on the day after clearing. I was abroad and kept running out of credit, and scrambling for a response from ucas and uni’s.

Ucas have a super responsive instagram. I actually got them to remove my unwanted course, completely over instagram - as I ran out of call credit. They usually take a few minutes to respond but once they do, the intervals between responses are a lot smaller. Sometimes they even answer earlier than when their helplines are technically meant to open!

Top up, too much is better than too little. Then shoot them a message on instagram detailing exactly ur situation. You’ve already emailed them ur situation so all you can do is wait u til” the helpline opens again, give notts a ring too i guess asking for an extended deadline or such. I think you should have all your bases covered.
