Received a place in university accommodation but it's too far (Cardiff University)

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about switching accommodations at Cardiff uni once they secure you a place. The way it worked for me is that I had to apply to 10 accommodations in order of preference and then they'd give me the highest up one that they could.
I applied in July and I assumed I would have my drivers license by September (I won't have it by then) so I applied to some that were further way (25-35 minute walk). The accommodation I was given is private (owned by Unite) but I applied through Cardiff so I assume I'd have to email them about it?
I get dizzy easily and have trouble walking long distances (this also applies to cycling, otherwise I would just get a bike), so it's not ideal for me to be living so far away from the main building I'd be going to to attend lectures. Also, the exterior of the accommodation is having work done to it and we've been advised that there will be lots of noise from 8am to 6pm, which isn't something I can deal with if I'm trying to focus.
When I applied for accommodation, I wasn't focused on the time it would to commute, so I'm concerned about how I go about emailing them to ask for a change. I'm also worried I'll be switched to an accommodation that's just as far away since I didn't take it into account when I applied.
