Flopped end of year 12 mocks I don’t want to retake the year though

I received ACE as predicted grades for my subjects history, maths , physics. I’m gonna get a tutor beginning of September is it likely I can get AAB by the end of year 13 be realistic.

Erm idk i got BEU and im hoping to get ABB in year 13. I had a tutor and he was good but idk if u put ur mind to it, you can probs get AAB

Yea i think imma get a tutor plus its only one subject that needs a lot of work

Did you put in a lot of effort in year 12 for maths and physics or are the courses just that hard. I’m planning to take maths and physics next year and this is a bit scary😭

Honestly, depends on what paper they did too, bc i do maths and did 2024 AS paper for pure mocks, did rlly rlly bad bc it was rlly hard (even fm students found it hard) and i got an e. I put some effort in, but its not like i practiced all the time (ok... most of y12 for me was procrastination).

I flopped even worse: CDE (cs, geo, maths) and honestly, my mum got ****ed even tho my maths teacher called her to say that 1- hard paper (even fm students found it hard, as 2024), 2- high grade boundaries (2023), 3- ive been workin hard anyways

I dont have a tutor (i might need one, we'll see in january), but i revised A LOT during summer hols so that i could catch up. If you put in a lot of work, yes, it'll be realistic.
Oh btw, if u did maths 2024 as paper and that was either c or e, dw about it, a lot of proper AS people found it hard, and also fm people, and my teachers did say it was very very hard

yes for sure you can. no need to retake the year at all maximum a few months extra just in case you mess up!! I would be concerned if you had 3 a*s as your goal but that's not the case your goal is very achievable. you can resit a subject by focusing on those papers and give the exam in the next series if required but it's very much possible just lock in and you'll get there :smile:

I got a D for chemistry but I got 111/120 in my resit paper not long after which got me 2 grades up just because I focused on it ONE MONTH before the resit!
