Easier said than done, I know, but try not to panic. Remember that six of those weeks were the summer holidays, so you haven't missed ten teaching weeks.

How well did you do in Higher English? If you were already getting high grades, you will already have a good skillset for progressing into AH. You'll be working on building these skills further in AH rather than learning any new techniques from scratch.

I'm not sure how much you know about the AH course, but all the information you need to know about it can be accessed on the SQA website - including how it is assessed, past papers, templates for coursework, etc: https://www.sqa.org.uk/sqa/48453.html

I'd suggest taking a look at the Advanced Higher English course specification, particularly Pgs 8-27, and having a think about what you might want to do for your writing portfolio and dissertation.

Thank you so much  regarding last year I had a really bad teacher and achieved 25/30 on the RUAE, 30/40 on the TA ( doing a text that didnt exist online so had no resources aswell as not finishing the set Scottish text ten marker) then my failure was the portfolio which I got 18/30 on I think this score was helped by my strong political opinions in it.
Thank you for those links I shall have a look !
