Do Nat5s matter?

For context, I am going into 5th year and just got my nat5 results.
I want to go to university, but I only sat 5 nat 5 exams in 4th year. I got AABDD.
Should I resit my nat 5s or just focus on highers this year? Will I still have a chance at getting into uni if I do well in my highers over the next 2 years?

What subjects did you get the two D grades in?

I got a D in biology and maths, I wanted to do social sciences or English literature in uni. I’m doing applications of maths this year and I dropped biology

If you're doing Application of Maths this year then there doesn't sound like there would be any point at all in redoing any of your Nat 5s then. It's better to keep progressing upwards where possible.
Make doing well in your Highers your priority. Do you have Higher English and another social science on your schedule for S5?

This year I am doing higher Geography, English and Modern studies, and nat 5 Applications of Maths and Spanish. Nat5 Spanish was my only option after my school stopped running higher History.
