Help, gap year student applying for clearing

Hi, I took an unexpected gap year last year and decided I would start uni this year instead however through the gap year I had realised the courses I was interested in were not what I wanted to do hence why I changed it last minute.

Basically I have my UCAS account from last year and personal ID, I have called the university I want on clearing (UWE) but I’m not sure if I need a new application or if they will accept me directly. I currently do not have an academic referral because of taking a gap year, so if I do have to make an application, what should I do about this? And if I do not need to make an application would the uni inform me to accept via email, telephone, etc?

Ask UWE if they’ll accept an application without a reference. If they will you can create a 2024 application and submit it quickly.

Thank you so much! I did just that and they allowed me to submit without referral

That's great news! Congratulations on obtaining a place and best of luck at uni!
