vet med gateway

Hi,
Are all Gateway Veterinary Medicine courses only open to UK students? I know that RVC, Bristol, Nottingham, and UCLan offer Gateway Veterinary Medicine programs, but I'm not from the UK and I do IAL and IGCSEs. Do I still have a chance of getting in?

Yes because gateway is a widening participation initiative to get people that traditionally wouldn’t go to uni due to their circumstances into professions. You may be able to do the biovet year at harper and keele for example to transfer onto vet med but you would have to email and ask x

Just checked the Harper&Keele bio vet program & don't think any gateway/foundation or courses including transfer to vet med accept international students..

SRUC do a 2 year rural animal health HND, which guarantees you a place on their veterinary course so that’s worth looking into. The only thing is I’m not sure if the actual veterinary course is accepting international students at the moment, you’d have to check

The HND only guarantees you an interview for the veterinary course, provided you pass all graded units.
