hi! so i did the uob summer school and am eligible for a contextual offer for dentistry (an ABB) but im wondering. do i have to put bristol as my firm to get this offer?

It wouldn't surprise me if they did but UCAS aren't keen on unis applying pressure on firm choices like this.
Could you link me to Bristol's website page on their contextual offers and I can have a look?

There's nothing on the contextual offers page that suggests you would need to firm Bristol to be eligible for a contextual offer, so you should just get one if entitled. The video (https://youtu.be/NRzgQkLi7YU) mentions selecting Bristol as your firm in order to guarantee you accommodation, that is something lots of universities have in place due to high demand on accommodation places.

What was the contextual offer conditions, was it an A in Chemistry?
