Currently really depressed as i was predicted A*A*AA and got AABB, i feel so ashamed and disgusted at myself because everyone expected me to be one of the 4A* students and tbh i did too, now i look at my results and cry, on instagram reels there’s a bunch of 3A* students and i feel i should be one of them, i just don’t know what happened.
Hi, while your disappointment is - and feels - real, take it from me: you achieved some really good grades. Take pride in that but remember that it soon becomes about the next hurdle (study, work or whatever), and everybody hits a bump in the road at some point. Life will deal everyone some adversity, including the A* folk, that they have to manage. Lick your wounds, ask teachers for feedback but recognise what you've achieved and focus on what's next. The world is your oyster - and there are some exciting choices for you out there.
Hi There

We hear that you are feeling disappointed with your results compared to what you were predicted. It sounds like you have been comparing yourself to other students on Social Media too. Although Social Media is a great way to connect with other students it is important to remember that you are on your own journey and it is completely fine to take a break from Social Media if you need to.

You might find it helpful to chat through how you are feeling with someone that you trust. This could be with a Friend, Family Member or Teacher. Often when we talk about how we are feeling it helps us to think about our options and next steps.

You should be really proud of yourself for being so open and honest about this. If this is leading to you having any thoughts of suicide then please reach out to Hopeline247 on 0800 068 4141 or Text on 88247 and a trained Suicide Prevention Adviser will speak to you and offer advice and support 💜

Listen mate, you arent a failure.
In 10 years time ur gonna sit there and cringe at urself for thinking so low of urself.

AABB is AMAZING! There are students who have gotten lower than this okay, and they're still doing amazing.

What matters is if you got into ur uni, if you have then it dont matter do it?
You tried ur best and honestly no ones gonna look at ur results in 10 yrs, they'll look at ur degree instead

You got fantastic results - don’t forget that exams are tough - 4 a levels are tough ! Just need to stay away from media who focus on outrageous success rather than average students @ most students will know people who struggle
