Hi @kiwiko 👋

Would this be a foundation year or first year? If it's foundation year it may be alright, but a first year is likely to be more tricky as different universities are likely to offer different course modules etc.

Is there a reason why you are thinking of transferring after your first year? If you prefer the look of another university, have you considered reaching out to them through clearing?

I think your uni may have a transfer portal, try search it up “Northampton uni transfer”, if there’s any luck something may come up where a group of uni’s may accept you based on your modules and credits earned. For example, bcu, coventry, ntu, wolverhampton and a few others have something called the midlands credit compass- here it’s “easier” to transfer within this group of uni’s. Although, it’s still possible to transfer outside of such groups, it will be much more on a case by case basis.

Try look if northampton has such a scheme, if it so it may be easier to transfer onto a second year course. If not you’ll have to ring up the uni’s your interested in directly and simply ask and try your luck.

I guess you’ll just have to hope your grades and modules are accepted/similar enough to whatever uni you try get into.

Just my two cents, if I’m wrong anywhere my apologies.
