Advices on the selection of exchange student university

I am studying at Seoul National University in South Korea and having trouble with choosing university in UK for the exchange student.
I've been thinking between University of Bristol, University of Liverpool, University of Leeds, University of Glasgow, and University of Sussex.
I'm going to apply to the department of Bioveterinary Science for the Liverpool and Biological Sciences or Biomedical Sciences for the rest.
Actually, I had studied for 3 weeks in UCL this summer so I wanna go to other city in UK for the exchange student.

I'll stay for spring semester (January ~ May) and have plans to go to many cities in UK such as Edinburgh (especially Highland cuz I've been to Edinburgh for the day trip this summer), Newcastle, Glasgow, York, Cardiff, Manchester, and Canterbury.
During the Easter vacation, I wanna go traveling to other countries in Europe (Switzerland Chamonix/Montreux, France Nice/Paris) and after the semester ends, I'm planning to go to Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Hungary).

Could you recommend me one that meets the standards below between those universities?

- has fancy places to enjoy (like pubs and restaurants)
- beautiful campus
- famous for its academic results
- convenient and cheap to move to other cities in the UK and Europe
- good public safety
- student-friendly

I have not enough information to choose between them so I appreciate your help now XD

Hi!

I recently studied at the University of York - although this isn't one of your choices, it matches all your standards!

York is a city that has lots of really nice places to eat and drink - it's a very historical city so there are lots of fancy places to explore!

We have a beautiful campus full of wildlife and greenery - and a lake!

York is one of the top universities in the UK

York is very well connected - you can easily get a direct train to Manchester, Edinburgh, London and many more locations

York is ranked the second safest city in England and Wales

York is very student friendly - there are so many societies and clubs to join and student activities in the city

If you have any questions about York, feel free to send us a message!

Hazel 🙂
