outdoor BBQ areas in Essex/Kent
I was wondering if theres any outdoor areas around essex/kent thats available for doing bbq. i tried to look online but found nothing but im sure there must be something out there which allows you to do bbqs outside

Hiya,
You used to be able to BBQ at Shoeburyness East Beach in Southend but that's been banned since 2022 unfortunately. A lot of public parks and beaches that used to have BBQ picnic areas have now removed their BBQ's and either point-blank don't allow it or you need to take your own portable BBQ with you.
If you're a university of Essex student then we do have BBQ pits by the lakes on the Colchester campus. You need to make an application to use them for health and safety reasons. You can't just turn up and use the BBQ's without permission.
