Environment, Economics and Ecology at York

I am considering switching my course from human geography and environment to environment, economics and ecology for this September at the university of York. I want to switch as I feel this course will provide more benefits for the types of future careers I wish to pursue, and acquiring a job would be easier with this degree. I also feel the course may be a better fit for me, but I don’t want to switch and regret it.

Does anyone have any information regarding this course (or do it) that would help me make my mind up? For example, is the economics aspect very heavy in terms of maths, and does the ecology part go into very complex biology?

Ultimately, do you think the switch is a good idea? I’m very conflicted. For reference I did economics, law and geography at a level.

Hi, I just checked and they're both still under the same department so I'd recommend sending an email to [email protected] with any specific questions and they should be able to explain the key differences and content of the courses. If you're in doubt you can still switch courses in the very first few weeks of uni, so you could always see how you like the course you applied for first before making the decision?
