Is it worth applying to Cambridge with average GSCEs?

My point average at GSCE was a 6 but I'm currently predicted A*A*A*. I'd want to apply to HSPS - is it worth applying at all? If not HSPS, would it be worth applying to the foundation year and then progressing onto HSPS??

Thanks!

Cambridge don’t specify any GCSE requirements, so as long as your A level grades meet the entry requirements, you’ll be fine to apply. Foundation years are only for people who meet certain contextual criteria and I believe you aren’t allowed to apply for the Oxbridge foundation courses if your grades meet the standard entry requirements for your course, which yours do. I’ll also be applying to Cambridge for law this year with below average GCSEs (with extenuating circumstances). Cambridge will look at your grades in the context of your school and consider any circumstances that may have impacted your performance. If your exam performance was impacted by extenuating circumstances, Cambridge have a separate form that you can fill out to explain your circumstances.
