Help with confirming Uni offer

I didn't get into my firm because I was a grade lower than required, but I managed to get into my insurance. I have sent off my paper to get it remarked and I am appealing to my firm. Should I accept my place at my insurance as I only have 7 days to do so and it will take at least 2 weeks for me to get my remarked papers back? Will this affect me if I do manage to get into my firm?

Hello there!

Apologies for not getting into your firm choice but it is good that you were able to get into your insurance choice. I will try to offer some of my advice

This all comes down to your decision. If you do not mind attending your insurance choice university then feel free to accept it. However if you do not wish to attend your insurance choice, you can wait for your results and apply for next year and take a gap year if that is something you are comfortable with.

It is your choice to make and it is best to carefully think about it. You could also call their clearing hotlines and discuss your situation with them to see what advice they would give.

I hope this helped a bit, i wish you the best of luck in the future, you got this!

You dont have to 'accept' an Insurance place - unless that Uni has offered you a different course.

If your Firm rejected you, and your Insurance have accepted you (Unconditional on UCAS), you have a place and no acceptance by you is needed.

But for my insurance, the email they sent states that I have to log into their UN Portal and sign an acceptance form...

That is entirely separate from UCAS and is clearly designed as some sort of psuedo 'contract' to make you think that you cannot then duck out of that offer to pick up something elsewhere. Read it carefully, but it wont be legally enforceable.
