Computer Science MSci - Royal Holloway
Hi I was wondering whether there were specific requirements for a laptop for comp sci or is there anything that would be recommended that I get for my course?? thxs

Most courses I’ve seen say: At least 8GB of RAM, 256 SSD, i5 or same level processor but what modules/industry do you want to go into in future? A lot of the computer science degree, especially for first years, is about computational/algorithmic thinking. This is like the 'theory' behind computer science, so the degree isn't as programming heavy as you would expect. TSR also isn’t the best place to ask, if you find your uni or your course’s team or for example a discord they’d know more
