So I got an email today with information on how to activate my Leeds email/IT account, make a new password and log into Microsoft 365 with my Leeds email. I did everything the email I asked me and I can log into Microsoft 365 with the DUO app working perfectly fine as well. However, the email also stated that once I have sorted my Leeds University IT account, I could access Minerva which is the virtual platform where you turn in your assignments, sign up to modules etc. I went on the Leeds IT website and clicked the link to access Minerva but I keep getting a sign-in/out error message via Blackboard and I can't seem to access the login portal even though my Leeds IT account is working fine on everything else.
Therefore, I was wondering whether this error message on Minerva is due to the fact that I haven't registered yet as a student - as registration opens on the 2nd of September - or whether I have messed something up when setting up my IT account which is not allowing me to access Minerva. I know I have to wait 48 hours potentially for my IT account to be working on everything, but I just wanted to check that this error message is normal.
Sorry if this seems like a bit of a silly question, I am just about to go into first year and get kind of nervy with things like this so I just wanted to be kept in the loop just in case I have done something wrong so I can communicate with the right people in time before courses start in Sept!!
