Year 12 Mock Results 😭💔

In my year 12 mocks I got an A*, B, C, and D. I’m dropping the subject I got a D in. I feel like such an idiot because the D was the one I put the most effort into.

How screwed am I for year 13 😭😭

you're not screwed at all. if you're dropping that subject and you think it's a good idea that's fine. with your other grades and A* and B are great grades. in my AS levels in year 12 I ended up with ABC (psych, bio, chem) then worked harder and ended up with A*AA in my alevels. if you're not happy with your grades you definitely have time to improve them.

You got such good results in the end omfg, how big was the workload increase to get from your AS grades to those??

i started doing 3 hours of revision every day (1 hour for each subject) after the Christmas break. I kept it easy at the start (like just making notes on things I learnt in lessons or watching videos) and the closer I got to exam season the more hours I put in. I also did every past paper and any exam questions I could find.

Congrats on your mock results! That is amazing, and something to be very proud of. I'm sure you're going to do just as great in Year 13. Don't let your D grade dishearten you, I can understand you wanted higher when you put the most effort into this subject, but sometimes there's small hiccups like this along the way, but it's all part of your journey. Wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your studies!
