Don't know what to do

I just achieved 5A* in alevels, but got rejected from cambridge through august reconsideration for economics and its really annoyed me because what more do they want from me??/

Do I:
a)go to LSE
b) take a gap year and reapply for maths courses

Go to LSE - Cambridge is overrated
I think it's best to relax and don't be too disheartened. I think taking a year out may help you gather perspective so you can return at your best. I took a year out and got a first-class degree, so taking a year off could work for you.

Go to LSE and have a great time there, to well in your degree, get a 2.1 or a First and you'll have no difference in entry level career opportunities than you would have had at Cam. If you are looking at further study, Oxbridge and the wider global selection will still be just as open to you. There's really no downside.

LSE is also a world renowned uni! The Econ course is also not too different from the Cambridge one (lots of maths, opportunity to lean into it quite heavily from second year onwards or essays if that's your preference). The fact that you got an offer is a huge achievement!
