Advice on Cambridge Applications needed.

I am reapplying to Cambridge university and meet the widening participation criteria.

If I was interviewed but then rejected, would I still be eligible for August Reconsideration or is that only for students who are attending school.

This is as those who apply for August Reconsideration do so if they get good grades in their exams after having been rejected in January, but I already have good grades so if I am rejected would I be put forward for the pool or not?

You can't be eligible for August Reconsideration if you've already finished your qualifications.

But if I am resitting then I wouldn’t have finished my qualifications?

Why are you resitting exams? Your post suggests you have the grades already?

Note that if you got in, Cambridge doesn't do resits for its students. If you fail the year, you leave (rare but yeah no resitting papers).

Because I got A* AA so meet the qualifications for Cambridge but want to resit to get the other two up to A*s as well. I know I don’t need to but I’m taking a year out anyway so why not? So, to do so I’m resitting those subjects and so won’t have finished my qualifications so would I still be eligible?

Did you put yourself forward for reconsideration this year?

Resitting to bump up some A's to A*s isn't really going to do much for an application I'll be honest.

I did not put myself forward.

I just want to know if I’m eligible, that was the question.

Ask Cambridge, but probably not. You should consider applying directly and/or potentially through the Foundation scheme if you think your education has been affected by qualifying circumstances.

Why did you not enter reconsideration this year?Rather than resit you would do better to spend the year doing things that strengthen your application.
You do have to think what would make it any different an outcome than this year. They will not be interested in resits unless you have extreme extenuating circumstances. What subject and how did you do in the entrance exam?Have you considered Oxford at all?
