Or should I take a gap year out to go to a better Uni next year

I’m in a similar position. I got better grades than I had expected and have decided to take a gap year to reapply next year. I tried to go through clearing but found that some unis had limited accommodation and honestly I feel like a sudden change of uni and course would be too much. It really depends on whether you are desperate to go to uni this year and attend an ‘ok’ uni or are happy to wait a bit longer and go to a uni that would push you further and allow you to achieve more.
