I'm not sure if this is any help as I don't study at the university myself, but know others that do (this uni is super local to me). Not only this but I've been to the uni a couple of times for open days and interviews and personally I think they have a good community. It is super diverse and there seems to be a mix of students, like any uni, those who are focused on studying and those who want the student experience. My sister has been to uni and said she found that those who go more for their social lives tend to drop out as they cannot keep up with the workload and expected uni to be more relaxed. Nottingham Trent is a reasonably good university suggested by the league tables, considering it isn't a russell group. Overall, I would say that this uni has a good mix of people, and that there will definitely be groups of people who will want to focus on studying. Hope everything goes well!
