Ground floor at uni concerns

I have been allocated a room on the ground floor at Talybont South Cardiff uni.
I'm getting worried about not being able to open my window or having tons of people walking past.

Does anyone have an experience or advice?
Thanks

All buildings have ground floor rooms and people solve this problem.

Maybe there won't be lots of people passing
Learn not to care
Put up a net curtain
Close the curtains
Put two plant pots either side outside to encourage people to keep a distance.

It's 36 weeks or so, there are much more important things to spend your thinking time on.

Aw no way my mum went to Cardiff and used to stay in Talybont! She took me back a few years ago when we were in wales and showed me around from the outside!
Don’t worry about being on the ground floor, just shut your window when your not in your room and make sure you put any valuables away safely, don’t leave them around x

Thankyou 😁

I emailed the uni out of curiosity and apparently the window only opens a small fraction.
I might get some of that stuff people put on their windows so people can't see through into my room
