cant decide between uni of leeds and brighton for fine arts degree

ive deferred my entry to brighton for their art printmaking course next year and managed to get ABB in my a level results this year. i didnt think i would do so well, so am tempted to reapply next year to leeds again for their fine art with history of art course. does anyone do any of these degrees or go to the universities and could you tell me which one would work out a better environment for me in terms of what im doing? brighton was definitely my favourite city but i also liked how large leeds was and wouldnt mind going up north for a change. leeds being cheaper also helps. i just dont know how good the quality of teaching will be in uni of leeds for art. thanks

Though not exactly relevant, my good friend just finished her masters degree on Art Management in Leeds. She's gained her BA from Kent's Faculty of Arts, and decided not going to Brighton but Leeds to pursue her postgraduate degree. She likes the experience in Leeds very much. Well, in terms of living environment and socialising, Brighton should be a better town. In terms of academic substance, however, U of Leeds would be obviously better? BTW, entry requirement of Leeds is higher than Brighton, isn't it?

Good luck!
I heard brighton is capital near south coastline. leeds is northern england.
Is there a reason for Leeds uni and not Leeds Arts Uni?
If you look at the league tables for Art then Leeds Uni comes out much higher than Brighton - so if you can get a place I think that's better from an academic POV. Not sure on what the city is like to life in though but from friends who are there I have heard it has a great social life. I'm sure Brighton would be fun too!

hiya, yes i have the grades for uni of leeds entry. i have a lot of friends in leeds who really have been enjoying the city so i think my main thing is the quality of life in leeds as compared to brighton- especially since brighton is a lot more expensive.

leeds uni places much higher in quality of teaching for art that leeds arts, also i preferred the facilities in uni of leeds too
