Reading List for Psychology and Neuroscience at Bristol

Hi everyone!
I've just been offered a place on the MSci Psychology and Neuroscience course at Bristol.
I'm struggling to find recommended reading to get ahead/ the textbooks I will need.
Does anyone know or have any recommendations?
I may just end up looking at each unit and finding books on those topics but ideally, I would be able to get ahead on specific reading.
Thank you

most of the books should be available online with your uni log in details, as artful said, no pre reading required but I get where youre coming from, happy reading!

This is perfect, thank you so much !
Don't buy any textbooks before you start - it's very unlikely you will need your own copy of any and if you do, they will tell you this when you start the course. Textbooks are very expensive and there's no point spending £100+ per book buying a bunch of textbooks you'll use half a dozen times at most, when there are also 10 copies of each in the various libraries of the university!

You won't be expected to do any pre-reading unless they tell you to, so if you do find yourself with some time this summer and want to do some stuff relating to your subject area, I'd suggest looking at recently published papers in the field and get an idea of what things are current topics of research and if there are any dominant approaches/methodologies or theoretical frameworks used
Do not go out and buy tons of textbooks!
You will have an enormous, well stocked library, most stuff is accessed online - and for most books on any reading list, you will usually only look at odd chapters, or at best use them for one topic. AND, if you do need to buy a general text for any 1st year course, wait until you get there and you can buy a second hand copy of one of last year's students.

For this reason, discourage any well-meaning relative about giving you Waterstones etc gift cards as a Going to Uni present - they will still be in your wallet at the end of your degree. Ask for Sainsburys, Boots, or Uber giftcards - these will actually be some use.
