Paramedic science Ambulance Trust eligibility

Hi,
Does anyone know what is meant by Ambulance Service Trust eligibility for paramedic science degrees? I've been speaking to student finance and they said I would be able to get second degree funding if I am eligible for the Ambulance Service Trust but I'm not sure what this means. I've reached out to some unis to ask but thought I'd ask here too.
Thanks,
Alex

I've seen this before on some other threads in the Ask SFE forum, and their response is very confusing. Essentially, paramedic courses are not exceptions for second-degree funding. This is ridiculous considering that nursing, midwifery and AHPs are eligible and the NHS needs to attract more people to the ambulance service. This article explains the situation:

What SFE might be alluding to is the fact that you can apply to Ambulance Trusts for apprenticeships, but then the trusts pay for your training - not student finance.

Okay thanks. I thought this might be the case. I thought it'd be a long shot as pretty much every ambulance trust has their own course and apprenticeship pathway now.
Thanks again,
Alex
