A level review of marking - is it worth it?

I’ve been undecided on whether to pay for my history exam to be remarked. I’ve been consistently getting As/A*s and have come out with a B. I’ve missed my firm bc of it (and didn’t want to go to my insurance) so taking a gap year. My teachers have had a look at my scripts and discouraged a remark as I’m 9 marks away from an A. Does anyone have any advice? Idrk what to do with myself and whether I should re sit. I just feel really thrown off course because of this now☹️

9 marks is a lot, but anything could happen in an essay based subject. Also because there so much is riding on this, I would strongly recommend going for a priority remark if you can spare the money.

The grade is likely to not move up but at least you checked and can have peace of mind from that.

yes I think will get it reviewed but don’t have much hope of anything changing🫠 I’d need to lose 13 marks to go down a grade so I’m not too worried about that. My firm uni unfortunately doesn’t hold places for remarks so I’m not planning to pay for a priority but I still think I should get it checked so I can avoid resits if there’s any chance. Just really hating life atm 😓😓

How about you tell us your situation? OP was last seen 2 weeks ago, so there's no guarantee you'll get a response from them or that there situation will match yours.
