Is it okay not to do 5 highers in s5 I feel like most people are, but I'm not able to Idk I'm just stressing out about it
It's not a silly question, don't worry ) A lot of people do pursue 5 Highers in S5, because they feel as though they are capable of doing so, or their university courses require it. What do you want to do after school? If it's something in university, it will likely require at least 4 Highers. If you don't want to/don't feel capable enough to do 5 Highers in S5, you can do a couple more in S6.

I'm not totally sure what I want yo do after I leave school yet, I did actually want to take 5 highers, but I wasn't allowed as non of the ones I chose were available to me.

Most top Scottish Universities (Edinburgh, Glasgow, St. Andrews etc.) require 5 As at Higher at the first sitting. So, if you want to study a popular course at one of those universities, then you probably need to do 5 Highers in S5.

No they don't unless your applying for competitive courses e.g medicine or dentistry or Law. Most will require a minimum of ABBB at higher. So you can do 4 highers.

That's why I said popular courses. If you don't have 5 Highers you restrict yourself quite a bit.
