University of Brighton

Hi!
I am currently doing clearing to attend University of Brighton. It seems lovely with a vibrant location, however I was concerned with the diversity within the university, particularly as I am muslim. I have no problem with other ethnic groups, just don't want to feel excluded

Heya lovely!! I start at Brighton September but I’m a regular visitor, it’s a very diverse and loving city!! I’m part of the lgbt community and that’s one of my reasons for choosing Brighton. You’d have the best time and definitely find lots of friends and people within your community!

Hi, I'm so happy to hear that! I was wondering if you know much about the muslim and south asian community? I've been told that Brighton is predominantly a white area and its making me a bit anxious.

If it helps I believe they have a few societies in these areas so you’ll be able to connect with others in your community! Also if you follow the news just 2 weeks ago the whole city turned up to stand up agains the far right riots and show how much they love the diversity in Brighton. Very very huge range of different shops and restaurants etc too bringing in many cultures! I believe it’s in like the top 10 most diverse city in the uk
