Whether I should sell my car

I’m conflicted about what to do with my car which I got in April this year. I bought it to use to drive to work as I was on a gap year but now I’m going to university in my hometown and I thought I would be able to drive there. However there’s no parking at the university and none near the area and I’m paying 177 a month for insurance and if I’m honest I barley drive my car so I don’t know whether it’s worth keeping it. People are telling me to keep it for a year cause of the no claims bonus but it’s not 15% off so I don’t know what to do.

If you’re barely using it and facing challenges with parking and insurance costs, it might make sense to consider selling it, especially since you’re not driving much while at university. The no-claims bonus can be a nice perk, but if the cost of keeping the car outweighs the benefits, it might not be worth it just for the discount. Anyways, you would be saving yourself a fair amount of money in doing so.

I’m leaning more towards this decision of selling it. But my siblings think I will loose my independence if I do that but personally I’m general I don’t like driving I only got my licence just to have it for the sake of it

If you're considering selling it, go for it. You still have your license, so when you need a car in the future, you'll be able to get one without any hassle.
