Just wondering on if anyone is considering studying chester 2024 and to the current students how has it been so far into your journey?
Hi there,
I'm going into my fourth and final year here at the University of Chester, so hopefully I can help you a little!
I have loved my experience so far. I was nervous about university to begin with, but the modules, lecturers, and opportunities I have had have allowed me to grow immensely. I have met some great people, volunteered, found part-time work as an ambassador, and found new ways to love my subject area.
Here at Chester, I've found that there are so many different opportunities available for students. I recently returned from the USA after studying abroad for a year, which was such an incredible experience! I have friends who completed Work Based Learning, which is a great thing to add to their resume, and personally, I love the volunteering that I can find in and around this area.
As well as all of the positives that come from the university, I absolutely adore the city. It's not as big as many other university cities, but it still has everything you need. Even after being here for years, I always find something new, and the history is so cool to learn about. The proximity to Liverpool, Manchester, and North Wales is great for when you want to take a break and go somewhere different, and it is also fairly easy to get around without a car.
I was initially worried to go here, as it isn't ranked the highest (and I had never actually heard much about the city before applying). However, the experience I have had and the things that Chester has given back to me both academically and personally have been more valuable than I can begin to explain.
I hope this helps, and please don't hesitate to reply and ask a question if you have any! 😊
