Advice needed - Do I resit Criminal Litigation Bar Practice Course exam?

(law master, LLM)

I have the criminal litigation BPC resit on Monday, this is my third and final attempt. I have pre approved concessions in place so I don't have to sit it. I am also putting in a not fit to sit for the last two exams but I don't know if it'll be accepted.

Unfortunately a lot of traumatising and stressful things have happened prior to this exam which have caused me to have constant breakdowns and panic attacks, I also have depression and anxiety.

The issue is I need to sit the exam so my results can come out in October because I need those results for a job I have been offered. I can't get this job without passing the BPC.They said they'll only wait till the end of October.

But I just did a mock exam and I got 33/75 which is a fail. I only have one day left and I don't know what to do.
Can anyone help? I'd appreciate any advice!! Thank you!
When you say that you don't have to re-sit the exam, do you mean that you could be awarded a pass without re-sitting? If so, wouldn't that be sufficient to obtain the job which you have been offered?

If this is not the case, then regrettably you may not be able to take up the job offer unless you take and pass the re-sit. In that event, it is probably at least worth trying the paper on Monday, unless you really can't face the stress of doing so.

Would deferring the re-sit to a later date, when you might be in a better position to take it, be possible? In that situation you would not be able to take up the job offer, but you could maybe obtain a pass at a later date and then seek another job.

I meant that I don’t have to sit the exam as I could tell the assessment office I don’t want to sit it and it’s accepted straight away without medical evidence.

I can defer to resit to a later and I know that I would be in a better position then. It just means I’d have to give up on this job offer.

I sat two exams previously where I was going through a hard time and I put a concession in recently to say that I wasn’t of a rational mind to sit them which if accepted it would mean I would be on my first attempt not a third. They’re very rarely accepted, I do have doctors evidence as well as emails sent to the university which show I was clearly struggling. This concession hasn’t been accepted yet and I’d find out the decision after the exam.

So I’d be really chancing it if I sat the exam.

I honestly think deferring and doing later sounds like a better thing to do. I just really wanted this job and the wage was perfect.
I think that taking the long term view may be better. You may have a reasonable chance of passing the exam if you defer the re-sit. It is annoying to let the job go, but another job will come up sooner or later. I hope that your health improves and that you do well.
