Help.

I came to the uk on 24/072021, now i am 16 expected to start my alevels this september. I am in this country because my mother is the personal assistant to the high commissioner of my native country, so how that works is, she had to do an exam while before she came here called the foreign mission exam and based on her performance she gets assigned a mission to a country as the personal assistant, and knowing that ive ended up here she obviously did very well, she got the 2nd highest score in the country, anyways her mission is said to be over by this december or next july, but i want to stay here and pursue my education further, there is a chance that she gets an extension till my a levels are over but i still would like to go to university and etc, my mother doesnt want to say here and says that shell leave as soon as her contract is over and my father doesnt want to be here either, if hse does get the extension till my a levels are over ill be 18 by the time her contract ends and maybe i can work here and look after myself although i wont be able to attend uni as i like, but if she doesnt get the extension i would be a year into my a level course and 17, is there any way i could survive with a part time job or some help from the council, or how else should i go about this, i know i should probably got to the council to speak about this matter but feel free to help.
Thank you.

There isn't much you can do to sustain yourself at 17 with only AS levels and as you parents have guardian over you until you're 18, you cannot just move out and they cannot leave you in the UK as that would be neglect.

Do you have any family in the UK you could possibly stay with, or very close family friend?. If not, try and convince them to stay one more year as completing your A Levels are quite important and can be very helpful for work.

Are you a citizen of the UK also by the way, or have a good long term Visa. If not, it would be impractical and expensive to go to university as you then not be eligible for a student loan. I think University would be better for you as you could study in the UK whilst your parents move abroad since you will have accommodation.

I think at the very minimum, convince them to stay until you're 18 as doing AS level and not A levels would be a waste of your hard work.

Well, you sit your final A-Level exam on June 25th for the absolute latest so that's before the 3rd quarter of 2026. The address thing may be a problem though as even if you go University you would still need to prove you have a home address.

I think the best thing you can do is aak your parents to stay or if they have enough money, get you a smell apartment to stay whilst your 18 so that you can go to University and still have an address. I'm guessing this is a long shot so you may possibly have to do your A-Levels and then follow them back home.
