How do I convince my mom to let me go to Warwick?

I'm an international student and I got accepted to Warwick for Bsc econ but I'm having a hard time convincing my mom to let me go to Warwick. Thing is that my mother knows that Warwick is a good University but she has concerns regarding how safe it might be. She's read tonnes of stuff about harassment, racism, Islamophobia and s*xual abuse at the university and in coventry in general, so she's reluctant to let me go. Of course, even I am a little concerned about this, but from asking some girls who study there and also reading more into it, it seems this is the case in every university so I guess I'm willing to take the risk? I know the world is filled with disgusting perverts and one day or another I'll have to learn to face stuff like this.
Inside the Warwick University rape chat scandal - BBC News was all a long time ago.

Warwick, and many other Unis, learnt from the experience, and have acted to address the arrogant male culture that led to it. As you have noted, yes there will always by utter d*cks who behave badly, but the assumption now is that at least Unis will deal with it head on, instead of ignoring women who report it, or just trying to cover it up.
Just to add, Warwick University isn't in the centre of Coventry... it's actually on the outskirts, and many of the students live in a neighbouring town called Leamington (with a regular bus service to the university). As the uni is in the outer suburbs, it's definitely in one of the nicer areas of Coventry. However, there is also a nearby council estate called Canley which is very close to the university, but I'm not aware of any trouble between the students and the locals (it's Coventry Uni who they have their biggest rivalry with lol).

Yes, Coventry does have that reputation from years ago (no idea what it's like now), but due to the location of the Uni campus, you could avoid the city centre itself for 99% of the time you're there, if you wanted to.

And, as said above, just knowledge of the risks is 1/2 the battle in these kind of things.
