Oxford Law

Does anyone have any advice on how to blster my application for Oxford law. My grades are A* A A with another A* in the international bacc. I will be eligable for a contextual offer based on where I live.

Last year I completed a CREST Gold award research project in which I looked into Eye-witness testimony.

I am doing a gap year during which I will work at a conveyancing firm.

Firstly do you think that I have a good chance?

Secondly what else could I do?

You meet the entry requirements. So just sit the LNAT by 15th September 2024.

Also, remember Oxford has 9 applicants per place and competition is therefore severe.

The LNAT and Interview performances should be very important too.

Are you also applying to LSE? UCL? KCL? SOAS? QMUL? Leeds? Manchester? Durham? Warwick? Bristol? York? Newcastle? Exeter?
I had Bristol and Warwick in mind. What are your opinions on Manchester and Cardiff as other options to those?
Also isnt the LNAT deadline October 15th not September?

There might be issues such as being fully booked. Especially since so many candidates are encouraged to submit early applications for LSE, UCL, KCL, and also Durham and Bristol.

Bristol graduates are found everywhere and so are Warwick but if you don't want to practice in London then Cardiff or even Manchester would be fine, as well as being excellent choices for City of London firms but you should aim for a 1st class degree. Where are you based? London? South? North?
I live in Brighton but have spent time livivng in many places. I was born in Germany to parents from Australia. Thanks for the help.

You might enjoy Warwick more with its huge shopping mall like campus!!! 😉 I would choose Warwick or Durham as my 5th choice, as I am choosing Oxford, LSE, UCL, KCL and SOAS since I would only move to Oxford or otherwise stay at home in London.
