What happens if I reject my accommodation offer? (UoB)

I chose Calthorpe Court as my accommodation in a panic because the place I wanted wasn't available. After reading the frankly nightmare inducing reviews, I wanna change my accommodation ASAP. Although, I'm worried about securing a place to live if I reject the accommodation offer. What should I do? And yes, I've emailed the University, but they are so slow at answering that it's frustrating.

I read in the university's accommodation contract that you can request a transfer to another place in mid-October (if there are any rooms available), so I suppose you could see how Calthorpe Court is and change if you want, if you're really worried about not being able to secure a room.

I’m in the same position but I accepted mine before seeing the reviews. Hopefully it’s not as bad as they say

If you do want to change I would be interested in taking it off your hands

Yeah I had to take it as the university owned accom is too expensive and all booked up anyways. Thank you:smile:

I also tried to change from Calthorpe by ringing in like a week ago and I got told there were no more places :frown:
maybe if u try secure a room on other partner accom sites? There seems to be a few options on the student living site

Im not 100% sure of the system however I can tell you through gcs im in for UoB that there are not any spaces in any accommodation and a lot of people have been waitlisted, Ive seen a room since the refurb and Calthorpe doesnt look bad (I have selected it) so it may be worth keeping it due to there being no other options, it is not worth the risk of having no accomodation.
