Ah chem help!!

Heyy so some info I am doing advanced chem and I am very very scared coz not only is my schl already crazy behind schedule, my class literally has the worst chem teacher ever. All he does is read off the board. I’m very very worried and stressed bcoz I really need an A or B in AH chem 😭and with him I know I’ll probably get a D. He taught another class higher chemistry last year and everyone got Cs and Ds. I’m so scared bcoz if I mess this up I won’t get into uni. I really need to get back on schedule too I’m doing two advanced highers and three highers. My timetable is so full.

If anyone has any advice or tips or even websites that can help me get an A or B in AH i would appreciate it so much u don’t understand. Please my life actually depends on this. Thank you

Go to playlists and watch AH unit 1,2 and 3. Then it’s an easy A.
Thank u so much I grateful someone replied but his vids are very old I’m sure they won’t fit the 2018+ Exam style no?

His videos are all relevant to the current syllabus. I used them for the 2024 exam.

Hey, I sat Higher Chemistry last year but was in a very similar situation teacher-wise- essentially I self taught myself the course using various textbooks/other resources and ended up with an A1.

The website JabChem is brilliant for AH, as it contains the 'Traffic Lights' which are just summary notes containing absolutely everything you need to know. Additionally for AH, JabChem contains summary notes and exercises for each key area which you may find also useful.

The brightred and how to pass books for AH are also great, and have great summaries so are ideal for going through yourself. (I have a pdf for the how to pass book if that would be useful)

I think the best notes for AH however are on scholar, and they have 200+ page documents going through each unit in depth- if you do not have access to these please let me know as I can send you them for all 4 units!

Kirkcaldy High has an excellent site for AH chemistry, containing complete notes as well as tutorial questions by key area with marking schemes as well as tonnes of practice questions. KIRKCALDY

Likewise, as others have said there are plenty of Youtube videos (eg Miss Adams) going through everything.

I hope this helps! Let me know please if you need any of these documents

Could u possibly pls send me the link to the pdf version of the how to pass advanced higher chemistry and bio (if u have)
I cannot recommend HW’s scholar website enough https://scholar.hw.ac.uk/ you should be able to access via glow. They run webinars on topics, revision material etc and is really great. It can be invaluable for you to go over topics or boost your knowledge. You are doing the right thing being proactive so early into the school year. Good luck
