Foundation Year and Resitting

I recently got my A level results and received BBC in Chem, History and Bio. I planned on studying comp sci in yr 13 but because I didn't have an A level in maths I had to apply for a foundation year at my chosen uni. I was 3 marks away from a B in Bio and plan to get my papers remarked but the lack of an A/A* grade is a brutal strike to my ego. I decided that I would retake one of my A levels during my foundation year. In my mind, a foundation year is easier and shorter than the first year and I've seen people planning on retaking during their first year. I just wanted to hear other people's opinions on this. If it's doable or maybe I'm being delusional. I do not want to take a gap year as I know that people will suggest this. Also if anyone has done a foundation year, I'd love to hear your experience!
You’ve been accepted onto your chosen degree. What do you think you would gain from resitting?

As above, why bother.

Hi,

There's not much point in retaking an A level if you have already have got a place at university. Your A level results look like they would meet the requirements of the full degree at YSJ, without the foundation year.
We also still have accommodation available through clearing.

Our hotline is open till 5pm tonight, if you would like to talk to our clearing advisors about applications and YSJ. We are happy to answer any questions, you may have!

Our number is: 01904 809700

Clearing hotline opening hours:

From Saturday 17 to Wednesday 21 August: 9.00am to 5.00pm

From Thursday 22 August: 9.00am to 4.00pm
