What is the best laptop to buy for uni, especially as a computer science student?

I'm a CS student too. I've been personally looking into the Lenovo thinkpad t480, you can find the for about £100ish on ebay. I know its got a really good rep especially in tech.

Depends on your preferences but get something that will be futureproofed.

RAM should be 16 GB ideally (but you may get away with 8, not recommended though).

Storage 256/512 depending on how much you rely on the cloud.

Everything else tbh is down to what you want.

It all depends on the use cases. Is it just purely for comp sci, or are you looking to game on it too, video edit etc. Does battery life matter, do speakers matter or even weight etc. It's a bit too broad to ask what's the best, when the parameters are so wide and vague.
