Student Finance - maintenance loan
I have applied to SFE for funds in order to stay within the University area in order to study and practice with the equipment (I am a Film Production student); the application has been approved, though they told me already that the payments will drop when the University will confirm my start/status. My contract with the accommodation starts the beginning of September, but I have read that since SFE pays before the start of the term, I will receive the payment late September/early October. My query is if there could be a solution to this issue. as I have to pay the first instalment of the room right away, and the payments are awaiting the University for an approval. Please let me know.

Your student loan, assuming you applied in time, will be paid on the first official day of term and I haven't heard of anyone getting finance advanced.
Surely you must have been aware of this when you booked your accommodation? It seems very short sighted otherwise
You don't have many options really, you've failed to plan this out and are now facing the consequences of it. Hopefully this will teach you a valuable lesson and you'll stop making awful decisions.
All you can try is to see if your university has a hardship fund although it may not cover the whole amount AND/OR talk to the accommodation, explain the situation and show them proof if they request it, they may give you a payment deadline extension
