University masters choice

Hi, everyone, I got a 2:2, on my environmental science degree, the reason for a low grade is partly due to my dissertation, left it last minute and got a horrible grade (D-), anyways, I did get accepted into some environmental management courses, thanks to my references, in Kingston, Greenwich, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, plus water management courses in Brighton and Cranfield and energy and environmental technology in city, my goal is to be an environmental consultant, so all these degree really apply, the question is university, do companies care at all for the university u took your master, all these courses are accredited by the chartered management institute, so I don't feel any difference for each master course, any advice

Hiya @francojsj
It is great that you are thinking of Essex to presue your studies.

Personally I think employers will not care wat institution you have your degree from but they will care about specific modules you took as well as the topics you did research on.

I hope this helps and if you would like to speak to our departments you can do so on our UniBuddy platform. Chat to our staff and students | University of Essex
Or alternately you can message here.

Hi @francojsj.

As Cat-Essex official rep mentioned, they might look into modules but sometimes also grades (from my experience), but it all depends on the job you will be seeking. Cranfield university is very popular in Water Science and Water courses as the labs are equipped with a good quality analytical devices. I also do Water Science, so I know how it works and I can answer any questions you might have.
