year 11 revision resources

so throughout year 9 (when studying to take rs in year 10) i made a ton of flashcards and never ended up using them and instead used things other people made. therefore, as someone about to go into year 11 i’m wondering if it’s necessary to physically make your own revision resources (i’ve seen lots of people say to make them early on) or would it probably be fine for me to use other peoples on say quizlet, kahoot, knowunity, seneca etc (obviously i’d fact check anything that doesn’t fit what i’ve learnt)??

Making flashcards and similar "resources" isn't too important as long as you consistently make good notes in lesson time. It accomplishes the same task of physically writing down key information and you can read through the notes again to revise like with other resources. Some subjects you can probably just rely on other peoples' resources like the cognito courses for the sciences or language learning sites etc but with rs and some less popular subjects I didn't find anything better than my own notes.

Try other things if you want but if you don't think you will use them like with flashcards, don't bother, there is enough already (including notes)
If the resources you can find online and from others cover the content then you should be fine using them! In my GCSEs I only make my own resources for subjects like History+Politics where it was difficult to find other people’s resources and English+Spanish where resources need to be more personalised for you. Best of luck with year 11

i used seneca and cognito for a lot of revision for my gcses they are AMAZING but id recommend making flashcards or mindmaps for the topics of each subject you find most difficult so you can review them more often
